Bufdir approached us with a task to raise awareness among young people about the harmfulness of online hate speech.
A significant issue both then and now is that young (and adult) individuals can write terrible things that can deeply affect the recipients. Our idea was to get people to remove the online hate and encourage young people to join the campaign with the hashtag #notokay.
We went through the social media channels of Amalie Olsen and wrote all the negative words she had received there on her body. On a campaign website, users could remove the words by sharing the message in their own channels.
The campaign was a success and generated fantastic results for Bufdir. It became part of the government's official report and also won several national and international awards, including gold at Gulltaggen.
